WVU Research Corporation Human Resources / WVU Human Resources Office Consolidation Update
June 2, 2017
As announced in late March 2017, the HR function of the Research Corporation is being centralized to the WVU Talent and Culture, formerly the Division of Human Resources. Our goal is to integrate the HR function with no disruption in service to research corporation employees and to keep you informed of any changes in staffing.
At this time, we will be relocating the recruitment, payroll and benefits functions. This is simply a change in location. There are no changes to the Research Corporation, recruitment, employee benefits plans or payroll processes at this time.
Physical Office Moves:
Amber Conaway, Benefits and Training Coordinator, is located in the Benefits Department at One Waterfront Place under the direction of Toni Christian, Director of the Benefits Administration. Her new title will be Senior Employee Benefits Specialist and she will continue to provide employee benefits services for Research Corporation employees.
Janice Schifano, Payroll Manager, will continue to manage the payroll processes for the Research Corporation employees. She is now located in the payroll department at One Waterfront Place, 3rd floor cube #3208, under the direction of Linda Strawser, Director Payroll and Employee Processing Services. Her new title is Business Manager II.
Tina Shipp, Payroll Representative, is a member of the WVU Benefits team, as a Human Resources Assistant III. Under the supervision of Toni Christian, Director of the Benefits Administration, Tina will provide technical and administrative support for the Employee Benefits Office.
Alex Godfrey, Recruitment Specialist, will relocate to One Waterfront Place, 2nd floor, on Monday, June 5th. Under the direction of Andrea Yanego, Director, Talent Strategy, he will continue to provide recruitment support for the Research Corporation. His new title is Talent Acquisition Specialist.
As we move into June, other office locations and role changes will occur. We will communicate additional information as necessary throughout the transition.
