Benefits Overview
The WVURC is fortunate to provide its eligible employees access to a variety of group health and insurance plans. In addition, WVURC employees may take advantage of the affiliate benefits granted to our workforce through West Virginia University and the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation. A summary of these options is provided below.
Health & Life Insurances
The WVURC offers a comprehensive, competitively priced medical insurance plan that includes preventative and physician services, in- and out-patient facility services, home care services, durable medical equipment, vision and prescription drugs. In addition, a broad-coverage dental plan; providing coverage for preventive, basic, major and orthodontia care; is available to employees and their dependents.
Situations requiring prolonged medical attention that restricts an employee from the workplace may be covered by the WVURC short-term disability, long-term disability, and/or basic life and AD&D plans.
Savings & Retirement
WVURC employees can take advantage of a number of financial benefits, including access to an outstanding employee credit union through our affiliate, WVU. In addition, eligible WVURC employees receive 403(b) matching funds; and access to supplemental retirement accounts.
Affiliate Benefits
The WVURC is privileged to provide its eligible employees access to the affiliate benefits, services & products of West Virginia University (WVU). These include the opportunity for credit union membership, parking, Student Recreation Center membership, use of the libraries resources, PRT, season tickets for football and basketball games, and Outdoor Recreation Center rentals at affiliate rates.
As a member of the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation (WVHTF), the WVURC can offer employees access to exceptional on-line and direct resources, education, and networking opportunities. Designed with professional and business development in mind, the Affiliate Services Group strives to enhance the grant management, technology, and entrepreneurial skills and knowledge of its members.
